City of Hope Honors Renzulli for His Philanthropy and Leadership
Former Sally Beauty Chairman and CEO Recognized for Support of Cancer Research and Patient Care
MELROSE PARK, Ill., May 18, 2023— The City of Hope, a world-renowned cancer research and treatment center, has named Michael H. Renzulli as the recipient of its Spirit of Life Award. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the fight against cancer through their philanthropy and leadership.
Renzulli, the former Chairman and CEO of Sally Beauty, the world's largest professional beauty supply distributor, has a long history of supporting City of Hope. He has served on the City of Hope National Board of Trustees since 2015 and has been a major supporter of the center's cancer research and patient care programs.
"Michael Renzulli is a true champion in the fight against cancer," said Robert Stone, President and CEO of City of Hope. "His unwavering commitment to our mission has made a profound difference in the lives of countless patients and families. We are honored to recognize him with the Spirit of Life Award."
Renzulli will be presented with the award at a special ceremony on June 10, 2023, at the City of Hope campus in Duarte, California. The ceremony will be attended by City of Hope leadership, staff, and supporters.
